I hope benchmarks become industry standard. And since there's no gameplay, they should be able to release these MONTHS before the game releases. And I hope games that DON'T offer a benchmark are looked down upon like when a publisher doesn't offer review copies.

This is one of the few (non nintendo) triple-a games I've actually wanted to play this gen, granted I've got a pretty decent computer that can also run frame generation on every game ever made (AMD master race) but still its nice to get the opportunity to tune my settings before launch.

this is driving me insane guys. WHEN is mario time?? he always says "it's a-mario time!" but like when is that? can i get a time? a date? they always say, "it's mario time" but when is it actually mario's time?? THEY ALWAYS SAY "MARIO TIME" BUT....... WHEN IS IT ACTUALLY HIS TIME?????? TELL ME. i'd personally like to decide on a canon date abnd time to be the official mario time. please, it's the only way my mind can rest. i can't be kept up another night laying dead awake in my bed wondering "what if now is mario time?" or "when will it TRULY be mario time?" or "what if the real mario time was the friends we made along the way?" if we really want a mario time, we need to band together and create the most mario of times to ever mario.

I played Sonic on Genesis to death right before 1996 and the release of the 64. I tell you it blew my little child mind. I could not fathom you could go running around in world that looked so.... real....

I have no investment in Borderlands whatsoever so this movie means nothing to me, but I've been very invested in following the reactions to it. Including the director's own insistence for people to "give it a chance" and "turn their brains off", which is maybe the greatest marketing tactic I've ever seen.

Gearbox Ruined Duke Nukem

I still hold the belief that if they got rid of both Randy Bitchford (Gearbox CEO) and the entire writing team Borderlands would actually be an amazing series, BL3 has some of the best gunplay second only to Destiny's which is the golden bar to reach (and i'm talking about modern shooters, Boomer Shooters are it's own category) The story of these games are so dreadfully bad it's no wonder why the series has become a running joke whenever it's mentioned, 3 has some exceptionally TERRIBLE writing that even if the game is really fun, you better turn the characters audio to 0 unless you want to cringe so hard you'll compress yourself into a ball of nothingness.

How is Bane even able to release reviews the day the movie gets released in my region is beyond me, that's dedication right there I've started playing Borderlands 1 with a pal about a month ago without knowing that a full movie would come out. While I'm not a huge fan of the franchise, I did appreciate playing with a buddy a few times. I can assure you that it's way more fun to play that sort of games in multiplayer if you have the chance

If there was a true sequel to SM64, this would be it. It expands SO much on the game while staying fresh and akin to the original game.

I like this rom hack more than ocarina of time. Getting to Castle town right at the beginning felt like a big open world to explore right off the bat, a lot more interesting than Hyrule castle and the Kokiri forest of the original game. There is tons to do, the secrets have better placement, I really enjoyed the challenge too. It felt faithful to Ocarina, while at the same time, felt harder and a little more puzzle heavy. Certain areas really got you to think about all your options and items, and I liked that. It feels like a love letter from fans of the original game.

Great video as always :) Also, I know you probably have dozens of games in your bucketlist right now, but I might have a game to recommend for a Halloween marathon if you intend to do one this year. Yume Nikki isn't that niche of a game but it's definitely a gem. It's worth playing if you love Earthbound and Undertale with a mix of LSD Dream Emulator. It's not really an "horror" game per se as it doesn't really contains jumpscares (for the most part, anyway), but the atmosphere alone can be quite disturbing and can be psychologically traumatising on certain occasions. Most of the lore is up to interpretation, and it's interesting to see how deep it can go. There's also dozens of fan-games like Yume 2kki. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a try!

I'm quite surprised you don't seem to be a Pokemon romhack player, seeing as how its the biggest hacking scene by a very wide margin (and probably the biggest fangame scene if you separate the two). Not that I'm complaining though it certainly hogs the spotlight from everything else. Also Shotgun Mario is actually from Mario in the Multiverse that game has just been in development for so long Dorrieal and Rovert released it separately as a teaser.
